Skamania Dispatch, also home of the Klickitattler, is an independent publication launched in April 2025. I aim to bring summaries of Skamania and Klickitat counties' many public meetings direct to your inbox.

This newsletter is written by Kate Bertash. I'm a full time resident of Skamania county, and business owner in Klickitat. I spend most of my time providing free digital security and privacy resources to nonprofits, but I also enjoy catching up on county and city meetings, digging around in public records, and teaching others how to do the same.

I'm not an elected official, lawyer, or professional journalist, but I try my best to keep these reports as accurate and accessible as possible. If you have questions please reach out to skamaniadispatch at gmail dot com.

This newsletter is a project of a larger community-driven effort by myself and other neighbors to promote open records and government transparency in our area as part of Open Gorge. I pay for all expenses related to both projects, like domains and hosting, out of my own pocket. None of us are compensated.
