🏙️ Stevenson City Council
- 🚽 Sewer Ordinance Nears Finalization: Following a special June 16 workshop, councilmembers reviewed amendments and community concerns regarding a new ordinance that will modernize sewer connection requirements and support long-term infrastructure planning.
- 💧 USDA Bond Moves Forward: Council authorized a new $873,000 USDA-backed bond to refinance existing sewer system improvements at lower interest.
- 🏡 Vacation Rental Oversight Expanding: The Planning Commission is revisiting short-term rental licensing, with a public workshop and focus group approach underway.
- 💸 Fee Schedule Updated: Building permit and Fire Marshal service fees were aligned with those charged by Skamania County.
- 🚧 Project Prioritization Reviewed: Councilmembers gave input on the city’s Capital and Transportation Improvement Plans, requesting clarification and removal of unfunded items.

- 🔥 Burn Ban Issued: On June 17, Fire Chief Bell implemented a citywide burn ban, including recreational fires, due to hot and dry conditions.
- 📊 Fee Schedule Amended: On June 24, the Council passed Resolution #588, updating the city’s official fee schedule to reflect adjustments in service charges.
- 📝 Routine Business: Both meetings included sheriff’s updates, department reports, and consent agenda approvals.
